Before you play, please read this. BridgeQuest is an educational simulation game and a research study run by the University of Alberta. Playing takes about 5–40 minutes. We collect your gameplay decisions to improve the game and to study how people make ethics decisions under pressure. Your data is never sold. Research participation is optional.

What we collect
  • Your email address and username (for your account)
  • Every gameplay decision you make and how it affected the ethics dials
  • Your chat messages with the AI advisor and persona characters
  • How long you play and how often you return
  • Your device type and browser (for fixing technical issues)
How we use it
  • To run the game and save your progress
  • To make the game harder or easier based on your play style
  • For academic research into ethical decision-making (with your consent)
  • To improve future versions of BridgeQuest
Your rights
  • Download a copy of all your data — any time, from your account settings
  • Withdraw research consent — any time, no effect on your game access
  • Delete your account and all data — any time, permanently
